PRFM works by perforating the top layer with a tiny needle to stimulate natural collagen production, combined with platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) and an added augmentation.
PRP involves drawing some of your blood and running it in a centrifuge to isolate the platelets. These are powerful proponents of the regenerative process and when injected directly into the scalp to breathe new life into hair follicles.
PRFM differs from PRP in that a mixture of calcium chloride is added to a more platelet-rich concentration. This helps convert fibrinogen in the platelets into fibrin, forming the fibrin matrix.
