Benefits of ClearV
ClearV can be performed during the summer months.
ClearV can be performed during a patient’s lunch break with no downtime.
ClearV is an effective treatment for all skin types and skin tones.
What to Expect with ClearV
During treatment, your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. The ClearV handpiece will deliver precise laser energy to the area being treated. You may feel a brief warm or hot sensation as the laser pulses are absorbed by the unwanted vessels. The ClearV procedure may take anywhere from 5-30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
Patients receiving a ClearV treatment can expect a noticeable reduction in body and facial veins after just one treatment, with results improving over time.
When combined with BBL HERO, Clear V is the complete vascular solution for complex conditions such as port-wine stains, telangiectasia, poikiloderma, cherry angiomas, and vascular melasma.
What areas can ClearV treat?
All areas can be treated, although the most popular are the legs and the face.
Do I only need one ClearV treatment?
The number of treatments required will depend upon the number of vessels present, the character of the vessels, and your body’s ability to heal. Depending on the size and depth of your vessel, some patients might need 1 to 3 treatments to fully reach their goals.
How does vein illumination work?
The ClearV handpiece is uniquely designed to visualize sub-surface veins with yellow or orange light. This provides the treating physician with enhanced visibility, allowing for a more thorough and effective treatment.
Is ClearV uncomfortable?
There should be little to no discomfort during treatment. However, this will vary from patient to patient. There is no need for anesthesia, and your physician will discuss options to properly manage any discomfort. ClearV has integrated cooling, which will improve your experience. There should be no prolonged post-treatment discomfort.
How long will it take to recover?
Your healing time will depend upon your actual treatment. In most cases, there is no downtime, and you may resume your daily activities immediately. Subsequent treatments are based upon your clinician’s recommendation and are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
Do I need to wear a support hose after a ClearV treatment?
This will be discussed by your provider during the initial consultation, however, most providers will recommend some form of compression for 5 to 7 days post-treatment.

ClearV eliminates target vessels without damaging the skin. It does so by applying targeted heat to clear away broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, skin discoloration, and more.
How it Works
01. Overview
ClearV uses a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser to address veins, vessels, and rosacea below the skin’s surface.
02. Eliminating Targeted Vessels
Using yellow and orange lights, the LEDs around the sapphire plate illuminate unwanted vessels to allow for precise targeting and treatment. Laser pulses are absorbed by the unwanted vessels, closing them and preventing them from returning. The vessels are then eliminated naturally by the body over time.
Treatable Areas
ClearV can treat the face and body of all skin types.

Post-Treatment Care
Patient responses may vary. Redness and swelling around the treated vessels are usually noticeable within a few minutes and typically have a “cat scratch” appearance.
A sunburn sensation and a slight feeling of soreness are normal and expected. These reactions tend to subside within 24-48 hours after treatment.
After 48 hours, the skin over the treated veins will look slightly red, purple, or bruised. Sometimes the veins will be more visible than they were before treatment. This is normal. Within the first 2 to 3 weeks, the redness and purple color will begin to fade. Each week, the color will become lighter and the veins will become less noticeable.
To decrease any achiness or discomfort after treatment and help reduce any bruising, a support hose or an ace bandage may be used.
What aftercare will I need? Can I return to exercise after a ClearV treatment?
It is important to follow your physician’s instructions. You may be given skin care products and instructions on how to use them. Strictly avoid any sun exposure to the treated area for a minimum of 7 days after the procedure. The treated area is more prone to sunburn and pigmentation change. Keep the area covered and use a sunblock with a protection factor of 30+ and reapply every two hours. Generally, we ask you to refrain from active exercise for 48 to 72 hours post-treatment. This is to ensure that the vessels stay closed and you achieve the best results in fewer treatments.
Until sensitivity has completely subsided, AVOID all of the following:
Applying makeup over the treated areas
Use of scented lotions or soaps, exfoliant creams (Retin-A, glycolic/salicylic, and alpha-hydroxy acids), acne creams or gels, loofa sponges, and aggressive scrubbing
Excessively hot water
Shaving
Swimming pools and spas with multiple chemicals/chlorine and severe temperature changes
Activities that cause excessive perspiration
Hot tubs and hot showers for 48-72 hours
